Increasingly, youth workers are supporting children and teens with more complex behaviors and challenges. YIPA training provides targeted information, practical strategies, and skill building approaches to provide working with at-risk youth training that is immediately useful in your professional roles.

Our at-risk behaviors training program modules are designed to be on-demand, allowing youth workers and organizations to plan training to fit into their schedules. These programs are either webinar or interview-style, and are taught by experts and leaders in the field working with at-risk youth.

Our at-risk behaviors training program modules are designed to be on-demand, allowing youth workers and organizations to plan training to fit into their schedules. These programs are either webinar or interview-style, and are taught by experts and leaders in the field working with at-risk youth.

Relevant and Timely Training Topics

We focus on relevant topics that provide youth workers with the skills they need to manage potentially challenging issues. Our working with at-risk training programs include topics that help youth workers with harm reduction, suicide prevention, substance abuse, juvenile justice interventions, and working with youth with traumatic experiences, ADHD, and those engaging in self-sabotaging behaviors.

The goal of our at-risk behaviors training program on-demand webinars and interviews is to assist youth workers in having a framework in approaching these challenging situations. Through participation in the training, youth workers gain confidence and competence in addressing these issues following best practices as well as your organization’s protocols and policies.

The trainings range from one hour to two and a half hours. YIPA members have free, unlimited access to the on-demand trainings.
