Your Training Description
The developmental benefits of the arts for young people are vast, such as enhanced self-expression, self-awareness, self-esteem, and social skills. However, the way in which the arts are deployed influences their impact. This training will explore best practices for designing and delivering art programming that consistently packs a developmental punch. Drawing from the fields of neuroaesthetics, positive youth development, and restorative practices, you’ll come away with actionable ideas for improving art-based offerings for the youth you serve.
Your Learning Objectives
- Deepen your understanding of the developmental power of the arts
- Learn how to create conditions for learning and growth through the arts
- Acquire skills to support young people developmentally in their creative efforts
