  • However, the way in which the arts are deployed influences their impact. This training will explore best practices for designing and delivering art programming that consistently packs a developmental punch.
  • Drawing from the fields of neuroaesthetics, positive youth development, and restorative practices, you’ll come away with actionable ideas for improving art-based offerings for the youth you serve.

Your Trainer

Reviewer Photo Michelle Kissinger (she/her), PhD, is the founder of [ree-sheyp] your story, LLC, an art-based consultancy focused on at-risk youth and youth-serving organizations. She helps organizations transform art programming to support the development of young people. She also helps clients deploy the arts to nurture the growth and wellness of their valued team members. Michelle is a seasoned management and organizational development professional and her lived experience and scholarship infuse her work. She spent 10 years in out-of-home care and her doctoral research explored identity formation, self-awareness, and collaborative creative arts. She has served as an Art Teacher for Buxmont Academy, Art Instructor for Bethany Children’s Home, and volunteer advocate for CASA of Berks County. Along with her consulting and teaching, Michelle is a creative nonfiction writer, mixed media artist, and mentor for youth in residential foster care.
