Intercultural Engagement
- This training is designed to help you understand and apply the EDIABE framework. EDIABE stands for Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, Belonging, and Equity. It offers both a mindset and a set of actions you can take to build stronger, more inclusive communities within your youth programs.
- Whether you are a youth worker or in a youth work leadership role, or supporting youth programs behind the scenes, you have a role to play in ensuring equitable youth work practice.
- This interactive course blends YIPA-created learning content with recorded video learning created by the featured trainer.
Your Learning Objectives
- Understand the core values of EDIABE and what is actionable vs conceptual relative to equity
- Assess your current youth work practices through the lens of equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility and identify areas for growth
- Create a personal or program-level Equity Action Plan incorporating measurable strategies aligned with the EDIABE model
