James Keenan, MS, LP is the founder and executive director of Power of Relationships (POR), a mental health agency that has been providing quality emotional wellness services since 1996. He started POR with the belief that things in life are better when done with the support of powerful relationships and all people desire and deserve them in their lives. James has been working in mental health for 28 years and has been a licensed psychologist for the past 24 years.

James believes that all of us are seeking our best self and we all want to have happiness as our predominate state of being. He describes himself as a solution focused therapist who assists others through relationships to gain a sense of self-control in their lives. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, he knows the long-lasting impacts that trauma can have on a person and the importance of relationships to heal them. James feels honored by those individuals who have allowed him to be a part of their healing.
