Tamara L. Stark (pronouns: she/her/hers) serves as Senior Director of Housing and Youth Development at Tubman, leading efforts to build comprehensive approaches to enhance the well-being of people in housing, shelters, community-based programs, and schools. Tamara believes that meaningful collaborations with and leadership by people directly impacted by challenges are key to thriving communities. She has launched a range of innovative prevention, intervention, outreach, and leadership programs and partnerships. Tamara collaborates on local and national initiatives to drive positive community transformations and reduce disparities for people impacted by violence and homelessness. Tamara has over 20 years of leadership experience in the social services sector, including work as a youth program quality consultant, therapist, educator and strategic planner. Tamara credits being a peer counselor in high school and childhood theatre experiences as key influences in her endeavors. Tamara has been awarded by public health leaders for her contributions to violence prevention. She maintains that all the best ideas have come from the people she has had the honor of serving. Tamara received her BA from Saint Olaf College and her MA from Argosy University.
